There are no re-certification courses

The Emergency First Aid BLS  course prepares and provides healthcare providers, first responders, and students the skills and tools to deal with medical emergencies in various clinical settings. It uses a variety of reading and hands-on skills to solidify the techniques to identify and manage life-threatening emergencies, perform CPR and use an AED.

The course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Oxygen Therapy and/or Airway Managment courses can also be combined with Basic Life Support training for additional certification. For more information click here.

Course Criteria
  • 100% attendance and participation
  • adherence to the Fundamental Principles
  • Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps
  • 75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation

  • 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid
  • 1 year BLS certification
